Biography: 

Prof. Kot has been with the Nanyang Technological University

Singapore since 1991. He headed the Division of Information Engineering at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering for eight years. The Division’s focuses are on signal processing for image, video, speech and audio. He was the Vice Dean Research and Associate Chair (Research) for the School of EEE for three years, overseeing the research activities for the School with over 200 faculty members. He is currently Professor and the Associate Dean (Graduate Studies) for the College of Engineering

with Peking University, Tencent and Inspur]. He has published extensively with over 200 technical papers in the areas of signal processing for communication, biometrics recognition, data-hiding, authentication and image forensics for digital media. He has two USA and one Singapore patents granted.

Dr. Kot served as Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing from 2000 to 2003, IEEE Transactions on Multimedia from 2008 to now, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology from 2000 to 2005; IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems Part II from 2004 to 2006; IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems Part I from 2005 to 2007, IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, the Signal Processing Magazine, IEEE Signal Processing Letters, and the Senior Editorial Board of IEEE Journal of Special Topics in Signal Processing. He also served as Guest Editor for the Special Issues for the IEEE Transactions on CSVT and JASP. He was a member of the IEEE Transactions on Multimedia Steering Committee and a member of the IEEE SPS Image and Multi-dimensional DSP and IEEE SPS Information, Forensics and Security Technical Committees. He is a member of the IEEE CAS Visual Signal Processing and Communication Technical Committees. He has served the IEEE in various capacities such as the General Co-Chair for the 2004 IEEE International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP) and area/track chairs for several IEEE flagship conferences. He also served as the IEEE Signal Processing Society Distinguished Lecturer Program Coordinator and the Chapters Chair for IEEE Signal Processing Chapters worldwide. He received the Best Teacher of The Year Award at NTU, the Microsoft MSRA Award and as a co-author for the ICPR2008 Best Biometrics Student Paper Award in Florida, USA, the IWDW2010 Best Paper Award in Seoul, Korea and the ISCAS2010 Finalist for the Best Student Paper Award in Paris, France, the IEEE WIFS Best Student Paper Silver Award, the IEEE ICCT 2011 Best Paper Award and the ICECC 2012 Best Paper Award. He was elected as the IEEE CAS Distinguished Lecturer in 2005. He is now a Vice President in the Signal Processing Society, an , a Fellow of the Academy of Engineering, Singapore, a Fellow of IEEE and a Fellow of IES.


Prof. Yulin Wang, Wuhan University, China

Biography: 

Prof. Yulin Wang is a full professor and PhD supervisor in International School of Software, Wuhan University, China. He got PhD degree in 2005 in Queen Mary, University of London, UK. Before that, he has worked in high-tech industry for more than ten years. He has involved many key projects, and hold 8 patents. He got his master and bachelor degree in 1990 and 1987 respectively from Xi-Dian University, and Huazhong University of Science and Technology(HUST), both in China. His research interests include digital rights management, digital watermarking, multimedia and network security, and signal processing. In recently 10 years, Prof. Wang has published as first author 3 books, 40 conference papers and 45 journal papers, including in IEEE Transactions and IEE proceedings and Elsevier Journals. Prof. Wang served as editor-in-chief for International Journal of Advances in Multimedia in 2010. He served as reviewer for many journals, including IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, IEEE Signal Processing Letters, Elsevier Journal of Information Sciences. He served as reviewer for many research funds, including National High Technology Research and Development Program of China ( ‘863’ project). Prof. Wang was the external PhD adviser of Dublin City University, Ireland during 2008-2010. He was the keynote speakers in many international conferences. He bas been listed in Marcus ‘who’s who in the world’ since 2008.


Prof. Ruidong Li, National Institute of Information and Communications Technology, Japan

Biography: 

Ruidong Li received a bachelor in engineering from the Department of Information Science & Electronic Engineering, Zhejiang University, Zhejiang, China, in 2001. He received a master and doctorate of engineering from the University of Tsukuba, respectively, both in computer science. Dr. Li currently is a senior researcher at National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), Tokyo. He belongs to the Network Science and Convergence Device Lab of Network System Research Institute of NICT. He was a member of the AKARI Architecture Design Project for New Generation Networks, the Japanese national project for developing the future networks.

He is involved in the design, implementation, evaluation, and optimization of future network architecture. He is the chair of IEEE SIG on Big Data Intelligent Networking and the co-chair of young research group for Aisa future internet forum. His current research interests include future networks, Internet of things, big data networking, network security, edge computing, information-centric network, artificial intelligence, cyber-physical system, naming and addressing schemes, name resolution systems, and wireless networks. He has been visiting scholar in University of Göttingen (2016), Temple University (2016), University of Alabama (2017), and UCLA (2017).

 

Prof. Kazumi Nakamatsu, University of Hyogo, Japan

Biography: 

Kazumi Nakamatsu received the Ms. Eng. and Dr. Sci. from Shizuoka University and Kyushu University, Japan, respectively. He is a full Professor at School of Human Science and Environment, University of Hyogo, Japan.

His research interests encompass various kinds of logic and their applications to Computer Science, especially paraconsistent annotated logic programs and their applications. He has developed some paraconsistent annotated logic programs called ALPSN(Annotated Logic Program with Strong Negation), VALPSN(Vector ALPSN), EVALPSN(Extended VALPSN) and bf-EVALPSN (before-after EVALPSN) recently, and applied them to various intelligent systems such as a safety verification based railway interlocking control system and process order control. He is an author of over 150 papers and book chapters, and edited 7 books published by prominent publishers.

Kazumi Nakamatsu has chaired various international conferences, workshops and invited sessions, and he has been a member of numerous international program committees of workshops and conferences in the area of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Reasoning-based Intelligent Systems by Inderscience Publishers(UK) and an editorial board member of many international journals. He has contributed numerous invited lectures at international workshops, conferences, and academic organizations. He also is a recipient of some conference and paper awards. He is a member of Japan AI Society, IEEE, etc.
